Vickers hardness test method
A square diamond pyramid with an angle of 136° is used to penetrate the body to be tested.
This micro hardness testing method works with low test loads and is therefore ideally suited for determining the hardness of metallic coatings (higher test loads would lead to the coating being pressed into the base material and could therefore falsify the measured values).
